Assistant or Associate Professor, Organizational Behavior, Hitotsubashi University Business School, School of International Corporate Strategy.
One full-time position open, for either:
Assistant Professor: tenure-track position with 5-year contract.
Associate Professor: tenured position.
Starting date is negotiable.
Duties:
Teach in English at the graduate level (MBA and DBA programs) and perform research in Organizational Behavior or related field in English.
Play a leadership role in the development of the Organizational Behavior curriculum and research programs.
Teach a variety of courses in English in the following or related areas: Introduction to Organizational Behavior, Leading Organizational Change, Leading Diverse Teams, Cross-cultural Communication and Conflict Resolution.
Help with administrative tasks such as committee work, MBA and DBA recruiting, and program administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. at the time of joining Hitotsubashi University ICS from a recognized university with a specialization in Organizational Behavior or a related field.
Applicants near completion of PhD will be Completion of the Ph.D. before joining the faculty is required.
Potential to develop a high quality and impactful research program coupled with evidence of potential to teach effectively at the graduate level.
Desirable Qualifications:
Published articles or forthcoming papers in international peer reviewed journals in Organizational Behavior or related fields with an emphasis on international issues.
Teaching interests in Organizational Behavior and specialized Organizational Behavior
Evidence of actual teaching ability to teach practical as well as theoretical knowledge at the graduate level.
Knowledge of international issues in Organizational Behavior
Japanese language is a bonus but is not required (all classes are taught in English).
In the case of Associate Professor: have an established international publication record.
In the case of Assistant Professor: have a high possibility of international publication.

Application Review and Next Steps:
Reviews of Applications will begin July 1, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled. Screening Interviews will be conducted over Zoom throughout the summer and in person at AOM in Boston. Campus visit fly-outs will occur in Fall 2023.
The position is a single full-time position for either: 1) Assistant Professor: tenure-track position with 5-year contract, or 2) Associate Professor: tenured position. The starting date is negotiable, pending availability of funds and position clearance, as well as completion of the Ph.D., if the applicant is currently ABD.
