The Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business at University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants with excellent teaching credentials or potential in Entrepreneurship (ENT) for a non-tenure track (NTT), full-time teaching position. The person selected must be available to start teaching undergraduate and master’s level entrepreneurship classes on campus by mid-August 2023. Overall teaching load will be equivalent to twelve credit hours per semester. This is not a remote-work position; however, some online courses may be scheduled.
This position is expected to include teaching sections of a range of graduate and undergraduate electives and/or required courses in management, and particularly within our ENT Minor and Certificate Programs. Some study abroad teaching opportunities may be available. The successful candidate is expected to assume active service roles related to undergraduate and master’s curriculum development and quality assurance at department and college levels.
Candidates must have already completed a master’s degree in business or related field from an AACSB accredited institution or a similarly accredited business school.

Prior industry and professional knowledge/experience in the area of Entrepreneurship and small business ventures; a record of excellence in teaching; industry experience; a commitment to diversity and inclusion; evidence of collaborative team participation. Relevant industry or professional certifications will be viewed favorably.
Key skills sought include: ability to engage students in both large and small section formats and in both face-to-face and 100% online (synchronous primarily for UG level and asynchronous at the graduate level) formats, effective use of a variety of assessment methods, currency in business venturing, small business management, coaching emerging entrepreneurs, familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting, and collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design, integration, and evaluation. The college and the department emphasize experiential learning for our students. To support our faculty in this domain, special entrepreneurship and innovation resources on campus include our own Center for Entrepreneurships & Innovation (CEI) in the department, the Coulter Biomedical Accelerator Program for bridge grants, the Entrepreneurship Alliance, the Monsanto Life Sciences Incubator, the Novak Leadership Institute in Journalism, the Allen Angel Capital Education Fund, and the Biomedical Entrepreneurship Training for Aging Program in the School of Medicine.

The Trulaske College of Business consists of over 80 full-time faculty members who serve approximately 5,000 undergraduates, nearly 300 master’s students, and 35 doctoral students.
