St. Cloud State University seeks applications for two Probationary Positions in the Management and Entrepreneurship Department of the Herberger Business School beginning Fall Semester 2023. In addition to eight undergraduate majors, the School offers an MBA and a Master of Science in Information Assurance. The Herberger Business School at Saint Cloud State University has a keen interest in growing online programs while strengthening offerings in Management. The successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain a professional goal to become an outstanding teacher-scholar through the use of research-based, best-practices pedagogy. They are expected to teach using both in-person and alternative delivery methods (i.e. online synchronous & asynchronous, hybrid, and hyflex) in regular and accelerated environments. They will regularly engage in ongoing professional development and innovation opportunities focused on pedagogical growth.

Job Description

• Providing instruction in general management and management related concentrations including operations and supply chain management, leadership, human resources management, or related topics
• Providing an effective learning environment for student success
• Developing and enhancing school curriculum and programs, learning outcomes assessment and continuous improvement
• Contributing to student growth and development such as student advising
• Serving on committees at the department, school, and university levels
• Assisting the school in maintaining accreditation: conducting student learning assessment, meeting ongoing research requirement, and serving on school accreditation committee as needed

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate in Management or related field from an AACSB-accredited university. Advanced ABDs will be considered (must be able to show proof of doctoral degree by appointment date)
• Evidence of recent publications in peer-reviewed journals. ABDs and new Ph.D. graduates may use conference presentations, current working papers as evidence of their ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Evidence of ability to teach in multiple environments (i.e. online, in-person/hybrid, regular, and accelerated formats)
• Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• An earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited University with university level teaching experience
• Evidence of active research stream
• Experience engaging students in experiential learning through real-world projects
• Experience developing online and accelerated asynchronous online courses
