The Research School of Management in the College of Business and Economics at The Australian National University aims to create and share management knowledge that makes a difference to organisations and society. In support of this vision the school is seeking to recruit an Associate Professor in Management with a focus on leadership or a related field.
The successful applicant will conduct research of international standing and actively contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the School. They will have a strong work ethic, a practical approach, and be passionate about the quality of their work. The successful applicant will join a strong team of academics who publish in top international journals and hold external competitive grants. The School and College provide an excellent research environment, including low teaching load, internal grants and generous conference travel support.
This is a full-time tenured position. The successful applicant must be available to commence work in Canberra, Australia and will be offered relocation assistance as per ANU Policy.

PhD by research in management, preferably in the area of leadership or a related field.
Track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals in their field, including in FT50 and ABDC (Australian Business Deans Council Journal List) A* journals.
Success in attracting competitive external research funding.
Evidence of high quality teaching (including preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials and assessment) as demonstrated by good oral and written English communication skills and excellent teaching evaluations. Evidence of capacity to deliver executive education would be viewed favourably.
Demonstrated experience in building strategic alliances with industry, government and other Universities at a national and international level.
Track record of supervising research students to completion at the Honours, postgraduate and higher degree levels, including an ability to mentor early career researchers.
Evidence of being able to foster and maintain inclusive, respectful and productive working relationships with staff, students and colleagues at all levels.
A demonstrated understanding of WHS, equal opportunity principles and policies and a commitment to their application in a university context.
