The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ invites applications for a full-time position in Management at the Lecturer level beginning August 2023. We are open to candidates interested in a visiting position for one to two academic years, or longer periods subject to strong performance and needs of the school.
Qualifications: Candidates must have earned a graduate degree. A Ph.D. degree is a plus but not required. Academic credentials should align with the job responsibilities outlined below and may include degrees in fields such as Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Strategic Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a closely related field.
The ideal candidate possesses a combination of related experiences in higher education and industry and has a strong track of record of teaching excellence across multiple levels (undergraduate, graduate and executive education).
Job responsibilities:
The person in this faculty position will be expected to teach effectively and to participate in and contribute to Stevens’ student-centric academic environment.
The teaching load is 7 to 8 sections per year and includes undergraduate courses in Principles of Management and Social Psychology and Organizational Behavior. Examples of other courses that the faculty member may be expected to teach include courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, such as, Senior Design Capstone, Leader Development, Leading Across Projects and Managerial Judgment and Decision Making.
Stevens values strong faculty-student engagement, and thus emphasizes small class environments (on average, about 20-30 students).
