Human Resource Management Assistant Professor Tenure Track Fall 2024 (August 2024)
The Department of Management in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an emphasis in Human Resource Management (HRM). We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual with a strong background in HRM to join our esteemed faculty. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching, and/or research experience in strategic HRM, HR analytics, risk management, HR audits, employee/labor relations, and professional experience in human resource management.
The successful candidate will be prepared to be an inspirational educator in both the undergraduate and graduate programs; will conduct scholarly and applied research; engage in service-related activities; and perform outcomes assessment. Department faculty are committed to student success and continue to develop new course curriculum, including service-learning courses, and Hyflex or fully online instruction. There are also opportunities to engage with the local business community through MBA team consulting projects and corporate training. There may be opportunities to teach in the Executive MBA and/or Accelerated Bachelor's in Business Administration programs for additional compensation. Specific assignments are dependent on departmental needs and the expertise of the individual.

Qualifications:
Required Education (from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent):
An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Human Resource Management or a closely related discipline (e.g., J.D./MBA) from an AACSB accredited institution (or equivalent) is required.
Applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered; however, for appointment, the doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2024
Required Experience:
Teaching experience at the undergraduate level and/or professional seminars;
Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Evidence of scholarly and research activity (e.g., conference presentations, book chapters, publications, research awards).
Preferred Experience:
Evidence of effective training and/or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: strategic HRM, HR analytics, risk management, HR audits, and employee/labor relations.
Demonstrated success in teaching excellence as an instructor of record;
Demonstrated work or professional experience in human resource management;
Evidence of scholarly and research activity (e.g., conference presentations, book chapters, publications).

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $8,750 -$10,500 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per academic year). As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
