The School of Business at the University of Washington Bothell invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position with teaching and scholarship focused on business strategy, including but not limited to areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation/technology management and/or sustainability, effective September 16, 2024. This is a full-time (100% FTE) position with a 9-month academic service period. The Assistant Teaching Professor position is not eligible for tenure. The base salary range for this position will be $11,111 - $13,333 per month ($100,000 - $120,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in strategy, entrepreneurship, and/or related fields at campuses in Bothell and Bellevue; engage in scholarship; and provide service to the School, the University, and the community.
Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to candidates who have an earned doctorate (or foreign equivalent) in strategy, entrepreneurship, or a related field and 5 or more years of relevant work or teaching experience.

The School of Business
The School of Business has approximately 1,000 undergraduate, MBA, and MS in Accounting students. It is accredited by AACSB.
The School’s Management & Organization faculty teach a variety of strategy and entrepreneurship topics, including competitive strategy, entrepreneurship, product development, innovation management, technology strategy, sustainability, and global business. The Management and Organization area offers specializations in general management, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation management, and leadership across both undergraduate and graduate programs.
The School offers a participatory student experience grounded in hands-on learning and close relationships with faculty as teachers and mentors. Faculty work closely with industry leaders as well as the smaller, innovative, and rapidly growing companies in software, electronic commerce, medical equipment, biotechnology, electronics, and aerospace. Our programs draw from companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, Costco, Amazon, Expedia, Philips, and Starbucks.
Faculty teach at the UW Bothell campus and a campus extension located in Bellevue, Washington.
Faculty members have complete access to the computing and library resources of the University of Washington. The culture is collegial and faculty members should expect to interact with colleagues from other business subdisciplines.
A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
