The Department of Management in the Warrington College of Business (WCB) at the University of Florida is seeking a post-doctoral fellow for appointment in August 2024 to work on original research with Dr. Klodiana Lanaj and other faculty in the Department of Management on topics of leadership, identity, and related areas in organizational behavior. The candidate will have opportunities to collaborate on research projects with faculty and doctoral students in the WCB while continuing to develop their own research projects under the departments’ guidance and mentorship. The selected candidate will be appointed for a two-year period and will teach 10-12 credits of courses per year (graduate and undergraduate, covering courses such as organizational behavior, human resource management, and creativity).

The Department of Management includes faculty members who research and teach in various areas of Management (Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Artificial Intelligence and Analytics, and Business Law). The entrepreneurship program is based in the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center. We pride ourselves on having an exciting entrepreneurial climate with a team of highly motivated scholars, educators and staff. We launched one of the first Masters of Entrepreneurship degree programs over a decade ago. We also offer minors in entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and more than twenty courses in entrepreneurship. With a strong focus on experiential learning, the program includes the Big Idea Business Plan Competition, GatorNest (a consulting initiative), the Gator Hatchery Student Incubator Program, and overseas entrepreneurship initiatives in South Africa. Our Center is the home of the Experiential Classroom, sharing best practices in entrepreneurship education with global faculty; is part of the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program Consortium; and partners with the Gator 100 Program, an annual ranking of the Top 100 fastest growing Gator-owned businesses.

Successful candidates are expected to have the following competencies:
A strong background in multilevel statistical analyses.
Ability to manage and analyze complex data using R, Mplus, and SPSS.
Ability to work independently and proactively as part of a research team.
Required qualifications and other information:
This is a full-time position located on the main campus at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
The candidate must have or anticipate receiving a Ph.D. in organizational behavior, psychology, or related fields of study before August 2024.
Salary is competitive commensurate with education and experience. The range for a twelve-month period is: $75,000 - $80,000. There is also research funding available.
