The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business at the College of Charleston invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor starting August 16, 2025.
Responsibilities include:
· Teaching three undergraduate courses per semester on human resource management, organizational behavior, leadership and management development, or closely related areas. Additionally, the position offers the opportunity to teach full-time MBA students, executive MBA students, and DBA students in the future.
· Developing new courses as they relate to the strategic objectives of the Department and the School by utilizing innovative teaching methods to enhance the success of diverse learners.
· Continued commitment to establishing a record of excellence in research.
· Engaging in service activities, such as student advising and mentoring.
The minimum academic requirement for this position is a PhD from an AACSB, EFMD, or EQUIS-accredited program (ABD will be considered for Assistant Professor position). Ideal applicants will have significant industry experience to complement their research interests and teaching experience in basic and upper-level management courses at an AACSB-accredited business school. Preference will be given to enthusiastic candidates, engaged with students, good communicators, and collegial team players. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to teach undergraduate coursework in one or more of the above-stated areas.
